  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to confidential information;

  3         amending s. 945.10, F.S.; deleting a provision

  4         that presentence or postsentence investigative

  5         records are confidential; providing an

  6         effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9

10         Section 1.  Paragraph (b) of subsection (1) of section

11  945.10, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:

12         945.10  Confidential information.--

13         (1)  Except as otherwise provided by law or in this

14  section, the following records and information of the

15  Department of Corrections are confidential and exempt from the

16  provisions of s. 119.07(1) and s. 24(a), Art. I of the State

17  Constitution:

18         (b)  Preplea or, pretrial intervention, presentence or

19  postsentence investigative records.

20         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

21  law.

25    Deletes a provision that makes presentence and
      postsentence investigative records confidential and
