11  The Committee on Criminal Justice recommended the following

12  amendment:

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

15         On page 3, lines 6-11, delete those lines

16

17  and insert:  are consistent with federal law. Accordingly,

18  this section shall not apply to a state or local officer, as

19  defined in s. 943.10(14), who holds an active certification

20  and who receives or possesses a firearm or ammunition for use

21  in performing official duties on behalf of the officer's

22  employing agency, unless otherwise prohibited by the employing

23  agency.
