11  The Committee on Criminal Justice recommended the following

12  amendment:

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

15         On page 4, line 28, through

16            page 5, line 2, delete those lines

18  and insert:  are consistent with federal law. Accordingly,

19  this paragraph shall not apply to a state or local officer, as

20  defined in s. 943.10(14), who holds an active certification

21  and who receives or possesses a firearm or ammunition for use

22  in performing official duties on behalf of the officer's

23  employing agency, unless otherwise prohibited by the employing

24  agency.
