  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to title insurance agents and

  3         agencies; amending s. 626.8411, F.S.; providing

  4         that s. 626.572, F.S., relating to rebating

  5         does not apply to title insurance agents and

  6         agencies; providing for retroactive effect;

  7         providing an effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11         Section 1.  Paragraph (c) of subsection (2) of section

12  626.8411, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:

13         626.8411  Application of Florida Insurance Code

14  provisions to title insurance agents or agencies.--

15         (2)  The following provisions of part I do not apply to

16  title insurance agents or title insurance agencies:

17         (c)  Section 626.572 626.752, relating to rebating

18  exchange of business.

19         Section 2.  This act is remedial in nature and shall

20  operate retroactively.

21         Section 3.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

22  law.
