  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the Central Florida Regional

  3         Transportation Authority (RAB); amending s.

  4         343.63, F.S.; providing that such authority is

  5         a regional public authority and an independent

  6         special district; providing that such authority

  7         is subject to specified requirements governing

  8         special districts; providing an effective date.

10  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11

12         Section 1.  Subsection (1) of section 343.63, Florida

13  Statutes, is amended to read:

14         343.63  Central Florida Regional Transportation

15  Authority.--

16         (1)  There is created and established a body politic

17  and corporate, a regional public authority and independent

18  special district separate and distinct from any other

19  governmental entity an agency of the state, to be known as the

20  "Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority,"

21  hereinafter referred to as the "authority." The authority is

22  subject to the financial disclosure, noticing, and reporting

23  requirements applicable to independent special districts under

24  chapter 189 and chapter 218.

25         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

26  law.
