11  The Committee on Education Appropriations offered the

12  following:

14         Amendment (with title amendment) 

15         On page 4, lines 5-25,

16  remove from the bill:  all of said lines

18  and insert in lieu thereof:

19         Section 2.  The Board of Regents is authorized to

20  direct the expenditure from the University of South Florida

21  self-insurance program accounts in the sum of $1,775,000

22  payable to Terry Michael Roszell, as father and legal guardian

23  of Heather Roszell, to be placed in the trust created for the

24  benefit of Heather Roszell, a minor, to compensate her for

25  injuries and damages sustained due to the negligence of the

26  University of South Florida.

27         Section 3.  The Hillsborough County Hospital Authority,

28  d.b.a. Tampa General Hospital, is authorized and directed to

29  appropriate from funds of the district not otherwise

30  appropriated and to draw a warrant in the sum of $1,775,000

31  payable to Terry Michael Roszell, as father and legal guardian
