  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to calculation of insurance

  3         premiums; amending s. 624.4095, F.S.; revising

  4         the formula for calculating certain casualty

  5         insurance premiums; providing an effective

  6         date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10         Section 1.  Subsection (4) of section 624.4095, Florida

11  Statutes, is amended to read:

12         624.4095  Premiums written; restrictions.--

13         (4)  For the purposes of this section, for the calendar

14  year ending December 31, 1998 1990, and each subsequent year,

15  premiums shall be calculated as the product of the actual or

16  projected premiums and the following:

17         (a)  For property insurance, 0.90.

18         (b)  For casualty insurance, 1.00 1.25.

19         (c)  For health insurance, 0.80.

20         (d)  For all other kinds of insurance, 1.00.

21         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

22  law.

      casualty insurance premiums from 1.25 to 1.00.
