14 On page 12, between lines 5 and 6,

16 insert:
17 Section 8. Subsection (4) of section 627.6575, Florida
18 Statutes, is amended to read:
19 627.6575 Coverage for newborn children.--
20 (4) A policy or contract may require the insured to
21 notify the insurer of the birth of a child within a time
22 period, as specified in the policy, of not less than 30 days
23 after the birth. If timely notice is given, the insurer may
24 not charge an additional premium for coverage of the newborn
25 child for the duration of the notice period. If timely notice
26 is not given, the insurer may charge an additional premium
27 from the date of birth. If notice is given within 60 days of
28 the birth of the child, the insurer may not deny coverage for
29 a child due to the failure of the insured to timely notify the
30 insurer of the birth of the child.
