14 On page 12, between lines 5 and 6,

16 insert:
17 Section 8. Subsection (2) of section 627.6578, Florida
18 Statutes, is amended to read:
19 627.6578 Coverage for natural-born, adopted, and
20 foster children; children in insured's custodial care.--
21 (2) A policy or contract may require the insured to
22 notify the insurer of the birth or placement of an adopted
23 child within a specified time period of not less than 30 days
24 after the birth or placement in the residence of a child
25 adopted by the insured. If timely notice is given, the
26 insurer may not charge an additional premium for coverage of
27 the child for the duration of the notice period. If timely
28 notice is not given, the insurer may charge an additional
29 premium from the date of birth or placement. If notice is
30 given within 60 days of the birth of the child, the insurer
31 may not deny coverage for the child due to the failure of the
