  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to trust funds; creating the

  3         Everglades Parkway Construction Trust Fund

  4         within the Department of Transportation;

  5         providing for source of moneys and purposes;

  6         providing an effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10         Section 1.  The Everglades Parkway Construction Trust

11  Fund is hereby created, to be administered by the Department

12  of Transportation.  The trust fund is created pursuant to ss.

13  339.081(3) and 338.165(3), Florida Statutes, and by action of

14  the Department of Transportation in issuing revenue bonds

15  pledged by the toll revenues on the Alligator Alley, in

16  accordance with these sections of law.

17         Section 2.  Net proceeds from current and any future

18  revenue bond issues for the Everglades Parkway will be

19  deposited in this trust fund and, together with any interest

20  earnings, applied against Department of Transportation

21  projects in accordance with ss. 338.165(3) and 338.26(3),

22  Florida Statutes.

23         Section 3.  This act shall take effect July 1, 1997.
