  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to implementing the fiscal year

  3         1997-1998 General Appropriations Act in the

  4         area of transportation and economic

  5         development; providing legislative intent;

  6         amending s. 15.09, F.S.; authorizing the

  7         appropriation of funds from the Public Access

  8         Data Systems Trust Fund for the operations of

  9         the Department of State; providing for future

10         repeal; providing an effective date.

12  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

14         Section 1.  It is the intent of the Legislature that

15  the implementing and administering provisions of this act

16  apply to the fiscal year 1997-1998 General Appropriations Act

17  in the area of transportation and economic development.

18         Section 2.  In order to implement Specific

19  Appropriations 2050 through 2134 of the 1997-1998 General

20  Appropriations Act, paragraph (b) of subsection (5) of section

21  15.09, Florida Statutes, 1996 Supplement, is amended to read:

22         15.09  Fees.--

23         (5)

24         (b)  For the 1997-1998 1996-1997 fiscal year only,

25  funds from the Public Access Data Systems Trust Fund may be

26  appropriated for the operations of the department. This

27  paragraph is repealed on July 1, 1998 1997.

28         Section 3.  This act shall take effect July 1, 1997, or

29  in the event this act fails to become a law until after that

30  date, it shall operate retroactively thereto.
