  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to water and wastewater

  3         systems; amending s. 367.022, F.S.; providing

  4         an exemption from regulation by the Public

  5         Service Commission as a utility and from the

  6         provisions of ch. 367, F.S., for the sale for

  7         resale of bulk supplies of water to

  8         governmental authorities or specified

  9         utilities; providing an effective date.

11  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

13         Section 1.  Subsection (11) is added to section

14  367.022, Florida Statutes, 1996 Supplement, to read:

15         367.022  Exemptions.--The following are not subject to

16  regulation by the commission as a utility nor are they subject

17  to the provisions of this chapter, except as expressly

18  provided:

19         (11)  The sale for resale of bulk supplies of water to

20  a governmental authority or to a utility regulated pursuant to

21  this chapter either by the commission or the county.

22         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

23  law.
