Subsection (16) is added to section 14 446.609, Florida Statutes, to read: 15 446.609 Jobs for Florida's Graduates.-- 16 (16) CONFIDENTIALITY.--All records of the foundation 17 constitute public records and shall be open to the public in 18 accordance with s. 119.07(1), except that the records of 19 applicants to and clients of the program which are otherwise 20 confidential shall remain confidential, and except that the 21 identity of a donor who desires to remain anonymous is 22 confidential and exempt from s. 119.07(1) and s. 24(a), Art. I 23 of the State Constitution. The anonymity of such donors shall 24 be maintained in the auditor's report required by subsection 25 (12). This subsection is subject to the Open Government 26 Sunset Review Act of 1995 in accordance with s. 119.15, and 27 shall stand repealed on October 2, 2002, unless reviewed and 28 saved from repeal through reenactment by the Legislature. 29 Section 2. Release 2 of such information could make donors the target of numerous 3 unwanted solicitations and seriously undermine the marketing 4 strategies and fundraising efforts of the foundation. 5 Section 3. This act shall take effect on the same date 6 as House Bill 1901 or similar legislation creating s. 446.609, 7 Florida Statutes, the Jobs for Florida's Graduates Act, takes 8 effect, if such legislation is adopted in the same legislative 9 session or an extension thereof. 10 11 ***************************************** 12 HOUSE SUMMARY 13 Creates an exemption from public records requirements for 14 the identity of donors to the Florida Endowment Foundation for Florida's Graduates.
