  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the sale or delivery of

  3         tobacco products; amending s. 569.007, F.S.;

  4         prohibiting the sale or delivery of tobacco

  5         products without the Surgeon General's warning

  6         appearing on the individual consumer packaging

  7         of the product; providing an effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11         Section 1.  Subsection (4) is added to section 569.007,

12  Florida Statutes, to read:

13         569.007  Sale or delivery of tobacco products;

14  restrictions.--

15         (4)  The sale or delivery of cigarettes, cigars, pipe

16  tobacco, or any other tobacco product without the Surgeon

17  General's warning appearing on the individual consumer

18  packaging of the product is prohibited.

19         Section 2.  This act shall take effect October 1, 1997.
