11  Senator Rossin moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 14, between lines 23 and 24,

15

16  insert:

17         Section 4.  Effective January 1, 1999, subsection (1)

18  of section 400.4075, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:

19         400.4075  Limited mental health license.--An assisted

20  living facility that serves three or more mental health

21  residents must obtain a limited mental health license.

22         (1)  To obtain a limited mental health license, a

23  facility must hold a standard license as an assisted living

24  facility, must not have any current uncorrected deficiencies

25  or violations, and must ensure that, within 6 months after

26  receiving a limited mental health license, the facility

27  administrator and the staff of the facility who are in direct

28  contact with mental health residents must complete training of

29  no less than 6 hours related to their duties. This training

30  will be provided by or approved by the Department of Children

31  and Family Services.
