  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to automatic teller machine

  3         transaction fees; creating s. 655.966, F.S.;

  4         limiting transaction fees for use of automatic

  5         teller machines; providing an effective date.

  7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  8

  9         Section 1.  Section 655.966, Florida Statutes, is

10  created to read:

11         655.966  Transaction fees.--A financial institution

12  shall not impose a fee of more than 25 cents for any

13  transaction conducted at an automatic teller machine, however,

14  each financial institution involved in a transaction at an

15  automatic teller machine may impose a fee of up to 25 cents

16  for such transaction.

17         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

18  law.
