17 and insert in lieu thereof: and cost-control requirements. If
18 other governmental entities or units of special purpose
19 government contribute matching funds to the support of a given
20 system of treatment or service, the department shall formally
21 request information from those funding entities in the
22 procurement process and may take the information received from
23 those funding entities into account in the selection process.
24 If a local government contributes match to support the system
25 of treatment or contracted service and if the match
26 constitutes at least 25 percent of the value of the contract,
27 the department shall afford the governmental match contributor
28 an opportunity to name an employee to the selection team
29 required by s. 287.057(15). Any employee so named shall
30 qualify as one of the employees required by s. 287.057(15).
31 The selection team shall include the named employee unless the

1 department sets forth in writing the reason such inclusion
2 would be contrary to the best interests of the state. No
3 governmental entity or unit of special purpose government may
4 name an employee to the selection team if it, or any of its
5 political subdivisions, executive agencies, or special
6 districts, intends to compete for the contract to be awarded.
7 The governmental funding entity or match contributor shall
8 comply with any deadlines and procurement procedures
9 established by the department. The department may also involve
10 nongovernmental funding entities in the procurement process
11 when appropriate.
