  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to construction contractor

  3         licensing; amending s. 489.103, F.S.; exempting

  4         certain real estate licensees from the

  5         contractor licensing provisions; providing an

  6         effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9

10         Section 1.  Subsection (17) is added to section

11  489.103, Florida Statutes, to read:

12         489.103  Exemptions.--This part does not apply to:

13         (17)  A person licensed under part I of chapter 475 who

14  is acting within the scope of that license.

15         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 1998.

18                          SENATE SUMMARY

19    Exempts certain real estate brokers, salesmen, and others
      licensed under part I of chapter 475 from the
20    construction contractor licensing provisions of part I of
      chapter 489.
