  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the re-creation of the State

  3         Agency Law Enforcement Radio System Trust Fund

  4         without modification; re-creating the State

  5         Agency Law Enforcement Radio System Trust Fund;

  6         carrying forward current balances and

  7         continuing current sources and uses thereof;

  8         providing an effective date.

10         WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of

11  the State Agency Law Enforcement Radio System Trust Fund,

12  which is otherwise scheduled to be terminated pursuant to

13  constitutional mandate, and

14         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the State Agency

15  Law Enforcement Radio System Trust Fund before its scheduled

16  termination date and has found that it continues to meet an

17  important public purpose, and

18         WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public

19  policy concerning the State Agency Law Enforcement Radio

20  System Trust Fund sets adequate parameters for its use, NOW,

21  THEREFORE,

23  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

24

25         Section 1.  The State Agency Law Enforcement Radio

26  System Trust Fund within the Department of Management

27  Services, which was created by section 282.1095, Florida

28  Statutes, and which is to be terminated pursuant to Section

29  19(f), Article III of the State Constitution on November 4,

30  2000, is re-created.

  1         Section 2.  All current balances of the State Agency

  2  Law Enforcement Radio System Trust Fund are carried forward,

  3  and all current sources and uses of the trust fund are

  4  continued.

  5         Section 3.  This act shall take effect November 4,

  6  2000.
