  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the re-creation of the State

  3         Game Trust Fund without modification;

  4         re-creating the State Game Trust Fund; carrying

  5         forward current balances and continuing current

  6         sources and uses thereof; providing an

  7         effective date.

  9         WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of

10  the State Game Trust Fund, which is otherwise scheduled to be

11  terminated pursuant to constitutional mandate, and

12         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the State Game

13  Trust Fund before its scheduled termination date and has found

14  that it continues to meet an important public purpose, and

15         WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public

16  policy concerning the State Game Trust Fund sets adequate

17  parameters for its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

19  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

20

21         Section 1.  The State Game Trust Fund within the Game

22  and Fresh Water Fish Commission, which was created by section

23  372.09, Florida Statutes, and which is to be terminated

24  pursuant to Section 19(f), Article III of the State

25  Constitution on November 4, 2000, is re-created.

26         Section 2.  All current balances of the State Game

27  Trust Fund are carried forward, and all current sources and

28  uses of the trust fund are continued.

29         Section 3.  This act shall take effect November 4,

30  2000.
