  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the re-creation of the

  3         Florida Panther Research and Management Trust

  4         Fund without modification; re-creating the

  5         Florida Panther Research and Management Trust

  6         Fund; carrying forward current balances and

  7         continuing current sources and uses thereof;

  8         providing an effective date.

  9

10         WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of

11  the Florida Panther Research and Management Trust Fund, which

12  is otherwise scheduled to be terminated pursuant to

13  constitutional mandate, and

14         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the Florida

15  Panther Research and Management Trust Fund before its

16  scheduled termination date and has found that it continues to

17  meet an important public purpose, and

18         WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public

19  policy concerning the Florida Panther Research and Management

20  Trust Fund sets adequate parameters for its use, NOW,

21  THEREFORE,

23  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

24

25         Section 1.  The Florida Panther Research and Management

26  Trust Fund within the Game and Fresh Water Fish Commission,

27  which was created by section 372.672, Florida Statutes, and

28  which is to be terminated pursuant to Section 19(f), Article

29  III of the State Constitution on November 4, 2000, is

30  re-created.

  1         Section 2.  All current balances of the Florida Panther

  2  Research and Management Trust Fund are carried forward, and

  3  all current sources and uses of the trust fund are continued.

  4         Section 3.  This act shall take effect November 4,

  5  2000.
