  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the re-creation of the Land

  3         Acquisition Trust Fund of the Game and Fresh

  4         Water Fish Commission without modification;

  5         re-creating the Land Acquisition Trust Fund;

  6         carrying forward current balances and

  7         continuing current sources and uses thereof;

  8         providing an effective date.

10         WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of

11  the Land Acquisition Trust Fund, which is otherwise scheduled

12  to be terminated pursuant to constitutional mandate, and

13         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the Land

14  Acquisition Trust Fund before its scheduled termination date

15  and has found that it continues to meet an important public

16  purpose, and

17         WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public

18  policy concerning the Land Acquisition Trust Fund sets

19  adequate parameters for its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

20

21  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

22

23         Section 1.  The Land Acquisition Trust Fund, which was

24  created within the Game and Fresh Water Fish Commission and

25  which is to be terminated pursuant to Section 19(f), Article

26  III of the State Constitution on November 4, 2000, is hereby

27  re-created.

28         Section 2.  All current balances of the Land

29  Acquisition Trust Fund of the Game and Fresh Water Fish

30  Commission are carried forward, and all current sources and

31  uses of the trust fund are continued.

  1         Section 3.  This act shall take effect November 4,
