  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the re-creation of the

  3         Nongame Wildlife Trust Fund without

  4         modification; re-creating the Nongame Wildlife

  5         Trust Fund; carrying forward current balances

  6         and continuing current sources and uses

  7         thereof; providing an effective date.

  8

  9         WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of

10  the Nongame Wildlife Trust Fund, which is otherwise scheduled

11  to be terminated pursuant to constitutional mandate, and

12         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the Nongame

13  Wildlife Trust Fund before its scheduled termination date and

14  has found that it continues to meet an important public

15  purpose, and

16         WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public

17  policy concerning the Nongame Wildlife Trust Fund sets

18  adequate parameters for its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

19

20  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

21

22         Section 1.  The Nongame Wildlife Trust Fund within the

23  Game and Fresh Water Fish Commission, which was created by

24  section 372.991, Florida Statutes, and which is to be

25  terminated pursuant to Section 19(f), Article III of the State

26  Constitution on November 4, 2000, is re-created.

27         Section 2.  All current balances of the Nongame

28  Wildlife Trust Fund are carried forward, and all current

29  sources and uses of the trust fund are continued.

30         Section 3.  This act shall take effect November 4,

31  2000.
