13         Senate Amendment 

14         On page 3, lines 13-17, delete those lines

16  and insert:  3. The student must also take two credits in the

17  same foreign language, taken for elective credit. A student

18  whose native language is not English is exempt from this

19  requirement if the student demonstrates proficiency in the

20  native language. American sign language constitutes a foreign

21  language.
