11  Senator Myers moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 187, between lines 2 and 3,

15

16  insert:

17         Section 242.  Subsection (3) of section 458.345,

18  Florida Statutes, is amended to read:

19         458.345  Registration of resident physicians, interns,

20  and fellows; list of hospital employees; prescribing of

21  medicinal drugs; penalty.--

22         (3)  Every hospital employing or utilizing the services

23  of a resident physician, assistant resident physician, house

24  physician, intern, or fellow in fellowship training which

25  leads to subspecialty board certification shall designate a

26  person who shall, on dates designated by the board, in

27  consultation with the department on January 1 and July 1 of

28  each year, furnish the department with a list of the

29  hospital's employees and such other information as the board

30  may direct.  The chief executive officer of each such hospital

31  shall provide the executive director of the board with the

 1  name, title, and address of the person responsible for

 2  furnishing such reports.

 3         Section 243.  Subsection (3) of section 459.021,

 4  Florida Statutes, is amended to read:

 5         459.021  Registration of resident physicians, interns,

 6  and fellows; list of hospital employees; penalty.--

 7         (3)  Every hospital having employed or contracted with

 8  or utilized the services of a person who holds a degree of

 9  Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from a college of osteopathic

10  medicine recognized and approved by the American Osteopathic

11  Association as a resident physician, assistant resident

12  physician, house physician, intern, or fellow in fellowship

13  training which leads to subspecialty board certification shall

14  designate a person who shall furnish, on dates designated by

15  the board, in consultation with the department in January and

16  July of each year, to the department a list of all such

17  persons who have served in the hospital during the preceding

18  6-month period. The chief executive officer of each such

19  hospital shall provide the executive director of the board

20  with the name, title, and address of the person responsible

21  for filing such reports.
