14         On page 5, line 4, after the figure "1999"

16  insert:  ; except that the judges filling new offices created

17  by this act from the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit shall be

18  elected in nonpartisan elections held in 1998 and shall take

19  office on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in January
