2 An act relating to state land sales; amending
3 s. 253.111, F.S.; providing criteria for the
4 pricing of land sold to a county by the Board
5 of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust
6 Fund; providing an effective date.

8 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10 Section 1. Subsection (3) of section 253.111, Florida
11 Statutes, is amended to read:
12 253.111 Notice to board of county commissioners before
13 sale.--The Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust
14 Fund of the state may not sell any land to which they hold
15 title unless and until they afford an opportunity to the
16 county in which such land is situated to receive such land on
17 the following terms and conditions:
18 (3) If the board receives, within 45 days after notice
19 is given to the board of county commissioners pursuant to
20 subsection (1), the certified copy of the resolution provided
21 for in subsection (2), the board shall forthwith convey to the
22 county such land at a price that is not to exceed the price
23 paid by the board for the land plus any applicable interest
24 equal to its appraised market value established by generally
25 accepted professional standards for real estate appraisal and
26 subject to such other terms and conditions as the board
27 determines.
28 Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a
29 law.
