12  recommended the following amendment:

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

15         On page 0, delete everything after the enacting clause

16

17  and insert:

18         Section 1.  Subsection (2) of section 414.065, Florida

19  Statutes, 1996 Supplement, is amended to read:

20         414.065  Work requirement.--

21         (2)  WORK ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS.--Each adult

22  participant who is not otherwise exempt must participate in a

23  work activity for the maximum number of hours allowable under

24  federal law provided that no participant be required to work

25  more than 40 hours per week or less than the minimum number of

26  hours required by federal law. The maximum number of hours

27  each month that a participant may be required to participate

28  in community service work experience are the number of hours

29  that would result from dividing the family's monthly cash

30  assistance amount and the value of food stamps by the federal

31  minimum wage and by dividing that result by the number of

  1  participants in the family who participate in community

  2  service work experience. An applicant shall be referred for

  3  employment at the time of application if the applicant is

  4  eligible to participate in the WAGES Program.

  5         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming

  6  law.

11         On page 1, line 3 through 22, delete those lines

13  and insert:
