  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the Department of Highway

  3         Safety and Motor Vehicles; creating s.

  4         932.7051, F.S.; creating the Federal Law

  5         Enforcement Trust Fund; providing an effective

  6         date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9

10         Section 1.  Section 932.7051, Florida Statutes, is

11  created to read:

12         932.7051  Federal Law Enforcement Trust Fund;

13  Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles

14  deposits.--There is created the Federal Law Enforcement Trust

15  Fund into which the Department of Highway Safety and Motor

16  Vehicles may deposit funds and revenues of all federal

17  asset-sharing programs under 21 U.S.C., and all federal

18  criminal proceedings, including criminal, administrative, or

19  civil forfeiture proceedings. These funds and revenues are not

20  subject to the provisions of ss. 215.20 and 215.23 and may not

21  be commingled with state funds.

22         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

23  law.

26                          SENATE SUMMARY

27    Creates the Federal Law Enforcement Trust Fund, to be
      administered by the Department of Highway Safety and
28    Motor Vehicles. Provides for the deposit of funds
      received from forfeiture proceedings.
