14         On page 1, line 13,

16  insert:

17         Section 1.  Subsection (2) of section 627.021, Florida

18  Statutes, is amended to read:

19         627.021  Scope of this part.--

20         (2)  This chapter does not apply to:

21         (a)  Reinsurance, except joint reinsurance as provided

22  in s. 627.311.

23         (b)  Insurance against loss of or damage to aircraft,

24  their hulls, accessories, or equipment, or against liability,

25  other than workers' compensation and employer's liability,

26  arising out of the ownership, maintenance, or use of aircraft.

27         (c)  Insurance of vessels or craft, their cargoes,

28  marine builders' risks, marine protection and indemnity, or

29  other risks commonly insured under marine, as distinguished

30  from inland marine, insurance policies.

31         (d)  Commercial inland marine insurance.

 1         (e)(d)  Surplus lines insurance placed under the

 2  provisions of ss. 626.913-626.937.

 3         Section 2.  Subsection (1) of section 627.410, Florida

 4  Statutes, is amended to read:

 5         627.410  Filing, approval of forms.--

 6         (1)  No basic insurance policy or annuity contract

 7  form, or application form where written application is

 8  required and is to be made a part of the policy or contract,

 9  or group certificates issued under a master contract delivered

10  in this state, or printed rider or endorsement form or form of

11  renewal certificate, shall be delivered or issued for delivery

12  in this state, unless the form has been filed with the

13  department at its offices in Tallahassee by or in behalf of

14  the insurer which proposes to use such form and has been

15  approved by the department. This provision does not apply to

16  surety bonds or to specially rated inland marine risks, nor to

17  policies, riders, endorsements, or forms of unique character

18  which are designed for and used with relation to insurance

19  upon a particular subject (other than as to health insurance),

20  or which relate to the manner of distribution of benefits or

21  to the reservation of rights and benefits under life or health

22  insurance policies and are used at the request of the

23  individual policyholder, contract holder, or

24  certificateholder.  As to group insurance policies effectuated

25  and delivered outside this state but covering persons resident

26  in this state, the group certificates to be delivered or

27  issued for delivery in this state shall be filed with the

28  department for information purposes only.

29         Section 3.  Paragraph (c) of subsection (13) of section

30  627.0651, Florida Statutes, is repealed.

31         Section 4.  Present subsections (3) and (4) of section

 1  627.681, Florida Statutes, are renumbered as subsections (4)

 2  and (5), respectively, and a new subsection (3) is added to

 3  that section, to read:

 4         627.681  Term and evidence of insurance.--

 5         (3)  Notwithstanding s. 627.6785(3), the term of credit

 6  life or credit disability insurance may be for less than the

 7  term of the indebtedness. However, except for the age

 8  limitations referred to in s. 627.6785(3), the term shall

 9  extend for at least 5 years or for the term of the

10  indebtedness, whichever is less.
