1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to trust funds; re-creating the
3 Turnpike Controlled Access Trust Fund within
4 the Department of Transportation without
5 modification; carrying forward current balances
6 and continuing current sources and uses
7 thereof; providing an effective date.

9 WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of
10 the Turnpike Controlled Access Trust Fund within the
11 Department of Transportation, which is otherwise scheduled to
12 be terminated pursuant to constitutional mandate, and
13 WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the Turnpike
14 Controlled Access Trust Fund within the Department of
15 Transportation before its scheduled termination date and has
16 found that it continues to meet an important public purpose,
17 and
18 WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public
19 policy concerning the Turnpike Controlled Access Trust Fund
20 within the Department of Transportation sets adequate
21 parameters for its use, NOW, THEREFORE,
22
23 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

25 Section 1. The Turnpike Controlled Access Trust Fund
26 within the Department of Transportation, SAMAS number 552334,
27 which was created pursuant to section 338.001, Florida
28 Statutes, and which is to be terminated pursuant to Section
29 19(f), Article III of the State Constitution on November 4,
30 2000, is re-created.

1 Section 2. All current balances of the Turnpike
2 Controlled Access Trust Fund within the Department of
3 Transportation are carried forward, and all current sources
4 and uses of the trust fund are continued.
5 Section 3. This act shall take effect November 4,
6 2000.
