  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to trust funds; re-creating the

  3         Working Capital Trust Fund within the

  4         Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles

  5         without modification; carrying forward current

  6         balances and continuing current sources and

  7         uses thereof; providing an effective date.

  8

  9         WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of

10  the Working Capital Trust Fund within the Department of

11  Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, which is otherwise

12  scheduled to be terminated pursuant to constitutional mandate,

13  and

14         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the Working

15  Capital Trust Fund within the Department of Highway Safety and

16  Motor Vehicles before its scheduled termination date and has

17  found that it continues to meet an important public purpose,

18  and

19         WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public

20  policy concerning the Working Capital Trust Fund within the

21  Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles sets adequate

22  parameters for its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

23

24  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

25

26         Section 1.  The Working Capital Trust Fund within the

27  Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, SAMAS number

28  762792, which was created pursuant to section 216.272, Florida

29  Statutes, and which is to be terminated pursuant to Section

30  19(f), Article III of the State Constitution on November 4,

31  2000, is re-created.

  1         Section 2.  All current balances of the Working Capital

  2  Trust Fund within the Department of Highway Safety and Motor

  3  Vehicles are carried forward, and all current sources and uses

  4  of the trust fund are continued.

  5         Section 3.  This act shall take effect November 4,

  6  2000.
