1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to the re-creation of the
3 Grants and Donations Trust Fund of the
4 Department of Legal Affairs without
5 modification; re-creating the Grants and
6 Donations Trust Fund; carrying forward current
7 balances and continuing current sources and
8 uses thereof; providing an effective date.

10 WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of
11 the Grants and Donations Trust Fund, which is otherwise
12 scheduled to be terminated pursuant to constitutional mandate,
13 and
14 WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the Grants and
15 Donations Trust Fund before its scheduled termination date and
16 has found that it continues to meet an important public
17 purpose, and
18 WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public
19 policy concerning the Grants and Donations Trust Fund sets
20 adequate parameters for its use, NOW, THEREFORE,
21
22 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

24 Section 1. The Grants and Donations Trust Fund, which
25 was approved for the Department of Legal Affairs by the
26 Administration Commission pursuant to its prior authority
27 under section 215.32, Florida Statutes, and which is to be
28 terminated pursuant to Section 19(f), Article III of the State
29 Constitution on November 4, 2000, is hereby re-created.
30 Section 2. All current balances of the Grants and
31 Donations Trust Fund of the Department of Legal Affairs are

1 carried forward, and all current sources and uses of the trust
2 fund are continued.
3 Section 3. This act shall take effect November 4,
4 2000.

7 SENATE SUMMARY
8 Re-creates, without modification, the Grants and
Donations Trust Fund within the Department of Legal
9 Affairs and carries forward its current balances and
continues its current sources and uses.
