  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the re-creation of the Legal

  3         Affairs Revolving Trust Fund without

  4         modification; re-creating the Legal Affairs

  5         Revolving Trust Fund; carrying forward current

  6         balances and continuing current sources and

  7         uses; providing an effective date.

  8

  9         WHEREAS, the Legislature desires to extend the life of

10  the Legal Affairs Revolving Trust Fund, which is otherwise

11  scheduled to be terminated pursuant to constitutional mandate,

12  and

13         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the Legal Affairs

14  Revolving Trust Fund prior to its scheduled termination date

15  and has determined that it continues to meet an important

16  public purpose, and

17         WHEREAS, the Legislature has determined that existing

18  public policy concerning the Legal Affairs Revolving Trust

19  Fund sets adequate parameters for its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

20

21  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

22

23         Section 1.  The Legal Affairs Revolving Trust Fund

24  within the Department of Legal Affairs, which was created by

25  section 16.53, Florida Statutes, and which is to be terminated

26  pursuant to Section 19(f), Article III of the State

27  Constitution on November 4, 2000, is hereby re-created.

28         Section 2.  All current balances of the Legal Affairs

29  Revolving Trust Fund are hereby carried forward and all

30  current sources and uses of the trust fund are hereby

31  continued.

  1         Section 3.  This act shall take effect November 4,

  2  2000.

  6    Re-creates, without modification, the Legal Affairs
      Revolving Trust Fund within the Department of Legal
  7    Affairs and carries forward its current balances and
      continues its current sources and uses.
