  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the re-creation of the Motor

  3         Vehicle Warranty Trust Fund without

  4         modification; re-creating the Motor Vehicle

  5         Warranty Trust Fund; carrying forward current

  6         balances and continuing current sources and

  7         uses thereof; providing an effective date.

  8

  9         WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of

10  the Motor Vehicle Warranty Trust Fund, which is otherwise

11  scheduled to be terminated pursuant to constitutional mandate,

12  and

13         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the Motor Vehicle

14  Warranty Trust Fund before its scheduled termination date and

15  has found that it continues to meet an important public

16  purpose, and

17         WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public

18  policy concerning the Motor Vehicle Warranty Trust Fund sets

19  adequate parameters for its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

20

21  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

22

23         Section 1.  The Motor Vehicle Warranty Trust Fund,

24  which was created within the Department of Legal Affairs and

25  which is to be terminated pursuant to Section 19(f), Article

26  III of the State Constitution on November 4, 2000, is hereby

27  re-created.

28         Section 2.  All current balances of the Motor Vehicle

29  Warranty Trust Fund are carried forward, and all current

30  sources and uses of the trust fund are continued.

  1         Section 3.  This act shall take effect November 4,

  2  2000.

  6    Re-creates, without modification, the Motor Vehicle
