  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the re-creation of the

  3         Florida Agricultural Exposition Trust Fund

  4         without modification; re-creating the Florida

  5         Agricultural Exposition Trust Fund; carrying

  6         forward current balances and continuing current

  7         sources and uses thereof; providing an

  8         effective date.

10         WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of

11  the Florida Agricultural Exposition Trust Fund, which is

12  otherwise scheduled to be terminated pursuant to

13  constitutional mandate, and

14         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the Florida

15  Agricultural Exposition Trust Fund before its scheduled

16  termination date and has found that it continues to meet an

17  important public purpose, and

18         WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public

19  policy concerning the Florida Agricultural Exposition Trust

20  Fund sets adequate parameters for its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

21

22  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

23

24         Section 1.  The Florida Agricultural Exposition Trust

25  Fund, which was created within the Department of Corrections

26  and which is to be terminated pursuant to Section 19(f),

27  Article III of the State Constitution on November 4, 2000, is

28  hereby re-created.

29         Section 2.  All current balances of the Florida

30  Agricultural Exposition Trust Fund are carried forward, and

31  all current sources and uses of the trust fund are continued.

  1         Section 3.  This act shall take effect November 4,

  2  2000.

  5                          SENATE SUMMARY

  6    Re-creates, without modification, the Florida Exposition
      Trust Fund within the Department of Corrections and
  7    carries forward its current balances and continues its
      current sources and uses.
