  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the re-creation of the Child

  3         Support Trust Fund without modification;

  4         re-creating the Child Support Trust Fund;

  5         carrying forward current balances and

  6         continuing current sources and uses thereof;

  7         providing an effective date.

  8

  9         WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of

10  the Child Support Trust Fund, which is otherwise scheduled to

11  be terminated pursuant to constitutional mandate, and

12         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the Child Support

13  Trust Fund before its scheduled termination date and has found

14  that it continues to meet an important public purpose, and

15         WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public

16  policy concerning the Child Support Trust Fund sets adequate

17  parameters for its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

19  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

20

21         Section 1.  The Child Support Trust Fund, which was

22  created within the Office of the State Attorney for the 11th

23  Judicial Circuit and which is to be terminated pursuant to

24  Section 19(f), Article III of the State Constitution on

25  November 4, 2000, is hereby re-created.

26         Section 2.  All current balances of the Child Support

27  Trust Fund are carried forward, and all current sources and

28  uses of the trust fund are continued.

29         Section 3.  This act shall take effect November 4,

30  2000.
