  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the re-creation of the State

  3         Attorney RICO Trust Fund without modification;

  4         re-creating the State Attorney RICO Trust Fund;

  5         carrying forward current balances and

  6         continuing current sources and uses; providing

  7         an effective date.

  8

  9         WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of

10  the State Attorney RICO Trust Fund, which is otherwise

11  scheduled to be terminated pursuant to constitutional mandate,

12  and

13         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the State

14  Attorney RICO Trust Fund before its scheduled termination date

15  and has found that it continues to meet an important public

16  purpose, and

17         WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public

18  policy concerning the State Attorney RICO Trust Fund sets

19  adequate parameters for its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

20

21  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

22

23         Section 1.  The State Attorney RICO Trust Fund within

24  the justice administration budget entities, which was created

25  by section 27.345, Florida Statutes, and which is to be

26  terminated pursuant to Section 19(f), Article III of the State

27  Constitution on November 4, 2000, is hereby re-created.

28         Section 2.  All current balances of the State Attorney

29  RICO Trust Fund are hereby carried forward and all current

30  sources and uses of the trust fund are hereby continued.

  1         Section 3.  This act shall take effect November 4,

  2  2000.

  6    Re-creates, without modification, the State Attorney RICO
