  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the re-creation of the

  3         Grants and Donations Trust Fund without

  4         modification; re-creating the Grants and

  5         Donations Trust Fund; carrying forward current

  6         balances and continuing current sources and

  7         uses; providing an effective date.

  8

  9         WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of

10  the Grants and Donations Trust Fund, which is otherwise

11  scheduled to be terminated pursuant to constitutional mandate,

12  and

13         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the Grants and

14  Donations Trust Fund before its scheduled termination date and

15  has found that it continues to meet an important public

16  purpose, and

17         WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public

18  policy concerning the Grants and Donations Trust Fund sets

19  adequate parameters for its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

20

21  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

22

23         Section 1.  The Grants and Donations Trust Fund within

24  the justice administration budget entities, which was approved

25  by the Administration Commission pursuant to its prior

26  authority under section 215.32, Florida Statutes, and which is

27  to be terminated pursuant to Section 19(f), Article III of the

28  State Constitution on November 4, 2000, is hereby re-created.

29         Section 2.  All current balances of the Grants and

30  Donations Trust Fund are hereby carried forward and all

  1  current sources and uses of the trust fund are hereby

  2  continued.

  3         Section 3.  This act shall take effect November 4,

  4  2000.

  8    Recreates, without modification, the Grants and Donations
      Trust Fund within the justice administration budget
  9    entities and carries forward its current balances and
      continues its current sources and uses.
