  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the re-creation of the

  3         Administrative Trust Fund within the Department

  4         of Law Enforcement without modification;

  5         re-creating the Administrative Trust Fund;

  6         carrying forward current balances and

  7         continuing current sources and uses; providing

  8         an effective date.

  9

10         WHEREAS, the Legislature desires to extend the life of

11  the Administrative Trust Fund, which is otherwise scheduled to

12  be terminated pursuant to constitutional mandate, and

13         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the

14  Administrative Trust Fund prior to its scheduled termination

15  date and has determined that it continues to meet an important

16  public purpose, and

17         WHEREAS, the Legislature has determined that existing

18  public policy concerning the Administrative Trust Fund sets

19  adequate parameters for its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

20

21  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

22

23         Section 1.  The Administrative Trust Fund within the

24  Department of Law Enforcement, which was created by section

25  943.25, Florida Statutes, and which is to be terminated

26  pursuant to Section 19(f), Article III of the State

27  Constitution on November 4, 2000, is hereby re-created.

28         Section 2.  All current balances of the Administrative

29  Trust Fund are hereby carried forward, and all current sources

30  and uses of the trust fund are hereby continued.

  1         Section 3.  This act shall take effect November 4,

  2  2000.

  6    Re-creates, without modification, the Administrative
      Trust Fund within the Department of Law Enforcement and
  7    carries forward its current balances and continues its
      current sources and uses.
