11  Senator Crist moved the following substitute for amendment

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

15         Delete everything after the enacting clause

16

17  and insert:

18         Section 1.  Each registered voter in this state shall

19  receive a tax rebate of $50. The rebate will be sent to

20  qualified persons as soon as practical, but no later than

21  August 1, 1998, by U.S. Mail, first class presort.

22         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

23  law.
