1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act re-creating the Juvenile Justice
3 Training Trust Fund within the Department of
4 Juvenile Justice without modification; carrying
5 forward current balances and continuing current
6 sources and uses; providing an effective date.

8 WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of
9 the Juvenile Justice Training Trust Fund within the Department
10 of Juvenile Justice, which is otherwise scheduled to be
11 terminated pursuant to constitutional mandate, and
12 WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the trust fund
13 prior to its scheduled termination date and has found that it
14 continues to meet an important public purpose, and
15 WHEREAS, the Legislature finds that existing public
16 policy concerning the trust fund sets adequate parameters for
17 its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

19 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

21 Section 1. (1) The Juvenile Justice Training Trust
22 Fund, which was created within the Department of Juvenile
23 Justice and which is to be terminated pursuant to Section
24 19(f), Article III of the State Constitution on November 4,
25 2000, is re-created.
26 (2) All current balances of the trust fund are carried
27 forward and all current sources and uses of the trust fund are
28 continued.
29 Section 2. This act shall take effect November 4,
30 2000.
