  1                    Senate Resolution No.     

  2         A resolution honoring the Hallandale Hot

  3         baseball team for winning five consecutive

  4         national championships in Khoury League

  5         Baseball.

  7         WHEREAS, the Hallandale Hot baseball team, consisting

  8  of players who are 14 to 16 years of age, has won five

  9  consecutive Khoury League national championships, representing

10  the State of Florida, including the 1997 championship in St.

11  Louis, Missouri, and

12         WHEREAS, the manager of the Hallandale team, R.J.

13  Intindola, is also the City Manager of Hallandale, Florida,

14  and

15         WHEREAS, the Hallandale Hot Team also won the Khoury

16  League International World Series in 1997, NOW, THEREFORE,

18  Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida:

20         That the Florida Senate commends the members of the

21  Hallandale Hot baseball team for winning five consecutive

22  national championships and the 1997 International World

23  Series.

24         BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution,

25  with the Seal of the Senate affixed, be presented to the

26  Hallandale Hot as a tangible token of the sentiments and good

27  wishes of the Florida Senate.
