  1                    Senate Resolution No.     

  2         A resolution honoring the Miami Northwestern

  3         Senior High School Varsity Football Team.

  6         WHEREAS, Miami Northwestern High School has established

  7  itself as a bastion of excellence in the academic arena,

  8  providing comprehensive, college-ready education for the

  9  children of Northwest Dade County, and

10         WHEREAS, the football team of Miami Northwestern High

11  School, under the outstanding leadership of Coach William

12  Rolle, has led to a season comprising eight wins and three

13  losses and a victory at the 28th Annual Soul Bowl Classic in

14  the presence of 25,000 enthusiastic fans in the Orange Bowl

15  stadium, and

16         WHEREAS, all of Miami-Dade County is proud of Coach

17  William Rolle, the coaching staff, cheerleaders, marching

18  band, students, and every member of the Miami Northwestern

19  High School football team, and

20         WHEREAS, it is appropriate that official recognition be

21  given to Miami Northwestern High School, its football team,

22  athletic program, students, and staff, NOW, THEREFORE,

23

24  Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida:

25

26         That the Miami Northwestern High School varsity

27  football team is commended for its outstanding season, for its

28  academic excellence, and for its victory in the 28th Annual

29  Soul Bowl Classic.

30         BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution,

31  with the Seal of the Senate affixed, be presented to Miami
