1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to enterprise zones;
3 authorizing tax credits to a certain business;
4 providing an effective date.

6 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

8 Section 1. (1) Notwithstanding the provisions of
9 chapters 212 and 220, Florida Statutes, a business that was
10 purchased in February, 1992, within an existing enterprise
11 zone in Tampa, is entitled to all the enterprise zone
12 incentives available at that time through the program's
13 expiration in 1994. The business may claim any incentive to
14 which it would have been entitled had the program not expired.
15 (2) Notwithstanding the time limitations contained in
16 chapters 212 and 220, Florida Statutes, under the enterprise
17 zone program which expired in 1994, a business eligible to
18 receive tax credits under this section must submit an
19 application for the tax credits by December 1, 1998. All other
20 requirements of the enterprise zone program apply to such a
21 business.
22 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 1998.
