  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to child custody; creating s.

  3         61.13001, F.S.; prohibiting a court from

  4         ordering a child to visit a parent convicted of

  5         the first degree murder of the other parent of

  6         the child; providing an effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9

10         Section 1.  Section 61.13001, Florida Statutes, is

11  created to read:

12         61.13001  Visitation prohibited under certain

13  circumstances.--The provisions of s. 61.13 or any other

14  provision of law to the contrary notwithstanding, no court

15  shall order a child to visit a parent convicted of the first

16  degree murder of the other parent of the child.

17         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

18  law.
