Florida House of Representatives - 1998 HB 3199 By Representative Dockery 1 A bill to be entitled 2 An act relating to secondhand dealers; amending 3 s. 538.03, F.S.; revising the definition of 4 "secondhand goods"; providing an effective 5 date. 6 7 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 8 9 Section 1. Paragraph (g) of subsection (1) of section 10 538.03, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: 11 538.03 Definitions; applicability.-- 12 (1) As used in this part, the term: 13 (g) "Secondhand goods" means personal property 14 previously owned or used, which is not regulated metals 15 property regulated under part II and which is purchased, 16 consigned, or pawned as used property. Such secondhand goods 17 shall be limited to watches; diamonds, gems, and other 18 precious stones; fishing rods, reels, and tackle; audio and 19 video electronic equipment, including television sets, compact 20 disc players, radios, amplifiers, receivers, turntables, tape 21 recorders; video tape recorders; speakers and citizens' band 22 radios; computer equipment; radar detectors; depth finders; 23 trolling motors; outboard motors; sterling silver flatware and 24 serving pieces; photographic equipment, including cameras, 25 video and film cameras, lenses, electronic flashes, tripods, 26 and developing equipment; microwave ovens; animal fur coats; 27 marine equipment; video games and cartridges; power lawn and 28 landscape equipment; office equipment such as copiers, fax 29 machines, and postage machines but excluding furniture; sports 30 equipment with serial numbers; weapons, including knives, 31 swords, and air guns; telephones, including cellular and 1 CODING: Words stricken are deletions; words underlined are additions.
