11  The Committee on Health & Human Services Appropriations

12  offered the following:

14         Amendment 

15         On page 17, line 25, of the bill

16

17  insert:

19  Section 16.  The Department of Children and Families shall

20  utilize existing facilities for this program, or may contract

21  with the Department of Corrections for facility and security

22  costs.

23

24  Section 17.  There is hereby appropriated from the General

25  Revenue Fund in a lump sum to the Department of Children and

26  Families the sum of $3,400,000 and 50 full time equivalent

27  positions, and from the Grants and Donations Trust Fund,

28  $1,500,000 to the Department of Corrections for the purpose of

29  carrying out the provisions of this act.  From the funds

30  appropriated to the Department of Children and Families, the

31  department may, at the counties request, reimburse counties

 2  subject to this act, provided that the department's

 3  reimbursement for each examination shall not exceed the cost

 4  to the department for examinations that it conducts of such

 5  persons.
