  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to judicial nominating

  3         commissions; amending s. 43.29, F.S.; providing

  4         for the judicial nominating commission of a

  5         judicial circuit to include among its members

  6         and electors at least one resident from each

  7         county within the judicial circuit; providing

  8         an effective date.

10  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

12         Section 1.  Subsection (4) is added to section 43.29,

13  Florida Statutes, to read:

14         43.29  Judicial nominating commissions.--

15         (4)  The judicial nominating commission of each

16  judicial circuit must include among its members and electors

17  at least one resident from each county within the judicial

18  circuit. This subsection shall apply only to members or

19  electors appointed on or after the effective date of this act.

20         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1 of the

21  year in which enacted.
