13         Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 6, between lines 24 & 25,

15

16  insert:

17         Section 3.  Section 903.301, Florida Statutes, is

18  amended to read:

19         903.31  Canceling the bond.--

20         (1)  Within 10 business days after the conditions of a

21  bond have been satisfied or the forfeiture discharged or

22  remitted, the court shall order the bond canceled and, if the

23  surety has attached a certificate of cancellation to the

24  original bond, shall furnish an executed certificate of

25  cancellation to the surety without cost. An adjudication of

26  guilt or innocence of the defendant shall satisfy the

27  conditions of the bond.  The original appearance bond shall

28  not be construed to guarantee deferred sentences, appearance

29  during or after a presentence investigation, appearance during

30  or after appeals, conduct during or appearance after admission

31  to a pretrial intervention program, payment of fines, or

 1  attendance at educational or rehabilitation facilities the

 2  court otherwise provides in the judgment.

 3         (2)  In any case where no formal charges have been

 4  brought against defendant within 365 days of arrest, the court

 5  shall order the bond canceled unless good cause is shown by

 6  the state.
